Laidbare Skincare and Bodycare - Naturally inspired Beauty

Monday, 11 June 2018

A few weeks back, I was sent some gorgeous products by Laidbare who is a UK based skincare and body care company that creates beauty products with natural ingredients and affordable price. To be honest, the packaging draws my attention the most when I first got them as every product has its own unique funny name to describe what it is which in my opinion, is very clever and fun.

I got 4 full-size products and a couple of samples to try and I have to say that some of them are definitely a keeper but some of them are a miss. I guess I'll start with something that I actually like: Scrub a Dub Dub. I love the name by the way and I love the refreshing scent thanks to Grapefruit Seed Extract. This is a lovely product to use in the morning not just because of the scent but also the fact that it is a 2-in-1 product so it saves you time. You can use this every day as your shower gel plus it gives a gentle exfoliation to keep your dead skin at bay. It's not something you wanna use as a weekly "treatment" type of scrub such as coffee scrubs because it's not "harsh" enough but as a daily shower product, it is simply lovely. And speaking of shower scrub, I have another favourite to recommend which is by the brand What's In It For Me...?. (What a name huh?!) This shower scrub smells amazing and that's really the reason why I love it so much because it smells of Jasmine, which is one of my all-time favourite scents. It has Walnut Shell so it exfoliates while cleansing your body. Both are lovely and gentle enough to use on a daily basis, it just depends on what scent you prefer. And speaking of scent, I have been pairing the body cream by What's In It For Me...? with the shower scrub because it smells so good. It's a light moisturiser I would say so it's perfect for summer but one thing I don't like is that it has Mineral Oil in it. Personally, I don't care for products that have this ingredient but that's just me so if you are okay with it, you need to try this body cream. It smells so good.

Another favourite of mine by Laidbare is Pack Your Bags Eye Cream. Ahh, I love the name! I found that this eye cream moisturises without being heavy and it really does lighten and tighten my under eye area. A little tip while using this cream: try to pat and dab instead of rubbing as it gives the best result this way. It retails for £7.99 which is a bargain. I know that a lot of people skip eye creams because they are expensive to buy so if you are on a budget, this is it for you.

I have been enjoying the DIY Two in One cleanser and Toner mostly in the shower because it's quick and easy to use plus it doesn't foam that much. You guys know how I feel about foam cleansers but I do like to use it in the summer on one condition: it has to be lightly foamed and this is like that. By the way, I don't know what's the deal with the 2-in-1 cleanser+toner thingy because it's not a toner but as a face cleanser, this is not bad at all. It retails for £6.99. Again, it's a bargain!

I guess the only product I don't really care for is the For Richer For Porer Mask, such a clever name by the way but not so much for my skin. It's rather drying if I'm honest, and I don't care for the granules that are in it but that being said if you have oily skin, I think you will like it.

The last product I have is Hair today, Gone Tomorrow Hair Minimising Moisturiser. Now, the problem is that I'm not a hairy person. I've never shaved my legs, not trying to brag or anything but I was born this way so I guess I'm pretty lucky in this matter so I can't tell you if this product is good or not but I've asked my cousin to try and she basically hasn't noticed any difference yet so I'll keep you posted and update this post later on. It retails for £6.99 which is really rather cheap so if you are curious, just buy and try it!

That's it guys, this is my review on some of the Laidbare products. I know I also throw in a couple of What's In It For Me...? products but in my defence, these are also pretty lovely so I want to share them with you. I hope you enjoy it and I'll see you same time next week.
